Nominations for 2025 Awards are now open! Nominate an individual or team that has exhibited outstanding service with University Housing throughout 2025 to receive an award in recognition of their excellent work performance. Submissions are welcome in all languages, and paper copies will be available in employee break rooms.
Winners will be recognized at the Housing Division Breakfast on May 21 at Union South Varsity Hall. Submit a nomination between now and January 31.
Active Threat Response Online Training
The Active Threat Response Online Course, now available to all employees, will review the skills needed to survive a violent event. The focus is on situational awareness, decision making and the Run, Hide, Fight method of dealing with an active threat. The training includes research results, data from survivors, and practical simulations to re-enforce the material. The module includes a welcome from the UWPD Police Chief, full length active threat videos, and links to resources to assist after an event. Translations available in Nepali, Hmong, Spanish, and Chinese.
Dining Hours During Winter Break
If you're a frequent dining-market-lunch-goer, you may want to pack food from home for portions of winter break! During the work week of January 5 - 9, Shake Smart and the Flamingo Run in Four Lakes and Gordon will be open from 10am - 5pm while Starbucks will open 7am - 2pm. All other Housing Dining locations will be closed.
