Sustainable Move-Out Success!
Our volunteers spent 450 hours helping residents donate or recycle as much as possible, diverting well over 150,000 pounds of material from landfill. This included:
- 2,359 pounds of nonperishable food donations
- 8,280 pounds of futons
- 6,125 pounds of microwaves
Donations benefitted: The Open Seat Food Pantry, Goodman Community Center, The River Food Pantry, Goodwill of South Central Wisconsin, & Badger Reclaim.
Futons, microwaves, and area rugs also found homes with many other non-profit organizations in the Madison area.

Find information about training for all employees, links to training resources, and opportunities to get a first look at Workday on the Training page on the Administrative Transformation at UW–Madison website.
Employees will find Workday Fundamentals: Workday for All Employees in their Universities of Wisconsin instance of Canvas. This training will teach employees how to navigate the Workday home page, view and edit information, and learn the difference between My Tasks and Notifications.

Sessions will be held between July 21 and August 8, 2025, for daytime, second, and third shifts. Housing employees (non-computer users) will automatically be scheduled and supervisors will be provided with the details soon.
