Fiscal Year-End Leave Reminders for Academic Staff
|
The fiscal year ends Sunday, June 30, 2024, and Academic Staff should plan to use any personal holiday, vacation carryover, and legal holiday prior to their expiration on July 1. If you would like to do leave swaps, please submit those requests to payroll@housing.wisc.edu by the end of the day on June 7. If you have completed 11 or more years of state service, you may be eligible to convert unused vacation time to ALRA (banked leave) in July. Any current fiscal-year vacation that is not used by July 1 and not converted to ALRA will become vacation carryover for the upcoming fiscal year. If at any time you think or know you are going to lose leave time, you can reach out to Housing HR to see if any staff in Housing or on campus need catastrophic leave donations.
