Growing Food for Dining Markets
In May, a plot of land in the Eagle Heights neighborhood on campus was repurposed in the name of sustainability and education. The land is home to the Dining & Culinary Services Campus Farm, where staff and students, including some in the GreenHouse Learning Community, bring very locally-grown food to Badgers’ plates from Gordon Avenue Market to Four Lakes Market.

Change to Benefit Deduction Schedule
Starting in 2024, the payroll deduction schedule for most benefits will be changing. Currently, benefit insurance premiums for most benefits are deducted one month prior to the coverage month (for example, deductions in November are for December coverage). Starting in 2024, benefit insurance premiums will be deducted in the same month as the coverage month (for example, deductions in January will be for January coverage). You do not need to take any action for this change.
