TTC & Minimum Wage Update for University Housing Staff

Jeff Novak, the Director of University Housing, announced in an email to Housing staff on Monday, May 16 that the minimum wage for all career staff will be raised to $17 per hour. The target implementation date of this change is May 22, 2022.

Dinner by Dining Returns June 1

Dinner by Dining is back, offering a convenient family hot meal to order and pick up each week. Wednesday, June 1 will be the first meal for the summer, and smoked BBQ pulled pork is on the menu. This also includes cowboy beans, roasted corn salad, buns, pickles, crispy onions, coleslaw, and you can add on strawberry torte for dessert! Get meals for 2, 4, or 6 people, and watch your email next week for more information and how to place an order.

Chancellor & Vice Chancellor Announcements

After Chancellor Rebecca Blank's departure, Jennifer L. Mnookin is set to become the next chancellor of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Mnookin is currently the dean of the School of Law at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In addition, the office of the VCFA (Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration) welcomes Rob Cramer as the Vice Chancellor after serving in an interim role since May 2021.

Discover how delicious fruits and veggies can be during Well Wisconsin's Five to Thrive nutrition challenge! Just track the fruits and veggies you eat for 21 or 28 days between July 11 and August 7 to fulfill the well-being activity and be on your way to earning the $150 Well Wisconsin incentive. Registration opens June 10.

Housing Breakfast and Gutterball Events Happening Soon!

Don't forget that the University Housing Breakfast is this Friday, May 20th from 7:30-10:00am in Varsity Hall at Union South. Next week Tuesday, May 24th, is the 46th annual Housing Gutterball at Dream Lanes (13 Atlas Ct, Madison, WI 53714). Registration and payment for Gutterball were due yesterday, May 17.

A Big 'Thank You' from Partners in Giving

Now that the 2021-22 Partners in Giving campaign season came to a close on May 15, the University Coordinating Committee wants to thank all of the volunteers and donors who helped to make the year a success, raising a total of $2,043,526 to support over 500 charities.
