Housing Halloween Virtual Trivia

The Housing Engagement and Recognition Team will be hosting a Halloween-themed virtual trivia event for all Housing staff on Thursday, October 28th from 2:30-3:15 on Zoom. Staff will compete in teams of three. If you do not have a team, don’t worry! You’ll be placed into a team with other attendees. RSVP by October 25th. Costumes encouraged!

Cleda Wang Receives SPA Award for Excellence in Higher Education Administration

Cleda Wang, an Assistant Director of Residence Life, was selected to receive the Award for Excellence in Higher Education Administration from the Madison Area Student Personnel Association (SPA) for dedication and commitment to making positive changes on campus that impact both students and staff. Congrats, Cleda!

1st Annual Housing Craft Fair

Are you a crafter? If so, you can host a table at Housing's 1st annual Craft Fair! On Thursday, November 18 from 12-4, any staff, faculty, or student who makes and sells homemade and handmade items can participate. All proceeds will go towards Partners in Giving. If you're interested, contact shawna.veselsky@housing.wisc.edu prior to October 28 to reserve a table. No food sales are allowed.

Be a Partner in Giving

For 47 years, Partners in Giving, the voluntary workplace fundraising campaign for state, University, and UW Health employees in Dane County, has been Making a Difference. We invite you to participate in the 2021 Partners in Giving Campaign from Oct. 11 - Nov. 30, 2021. Housing's first event to help raise funds for the campaign is "Pay Your Selfie Forward," so grab your Badger gear and submit the best selfie!

Last Chance for Flu Shots on Campus

University Health Services (UHS) is offering flu shots to all students and employees. You can significantly reduce your chance of becoming ill by getting vaccinated. Appointments are available through October 27 at multiple campus locations, and employees should bring their insurance card to the clinic.

Register for the 2021 UW-Madison Diversity Forum

Hosted by the Division of Diversity, Equity & Educational Achievement, the UW–Madison Diversity Forum is the university’s premier two-day conference focused on updating, educating, and activating attendees on the most pressing issues of the day. Registration is open for the annual UW–Madison Diversity Forum, “Rising Above and Reshaping our World in the Image of Justice,” which will be held as a hybrid in-person/virtual conference on Nov. 2 and 3, 2021.
