Volunteer for Convocation Lunch

This year, Dining needs help from University Housing staff to serve 8,000 students before they attend Convocation. Sign up to help set up, replenish food, hand out water bottles, monitor the condiment station, or help tear down. You'll receive a free lunch afterward as a thank you for your assistance.

Compost Changes at UW-Madison

In recent years, UW–Madison maintained a successful campus food waste collection program. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the university must overhaul the program. Help inform next steps for UW-Madison and the Office of Sustainability in their survey.

Complete a Remote Work Agreement

Any employee who will be working fully or partially remote will need to complete an electronic remote work agreement. UW-Madison HR has put together resources for employees and supervisors to help guide this process.

Volunteer for Sustainable Move-In
Housing Sustainability is seeking volunteers to help with Sustainable Move-In from August 30-September 2. Sustainable Move-In helps welcome new residents and introduce them to sustainability by offering 14 recycling stations across campus.

Housing Dining’s Dinner by Dining hot meal for August 18 features Huli Huli chicken with pineapple & red onion chutney! In addition to the main course, you'll also get jardo rice, Polynesian slaw, a Hawaiian roll, and you can add on a 7-layer bar. Orders close on Monday, August 16, so don't miss out!

What's Happening in HR?

The Housing HR Office in Slichter is reopening, starting on August 16th, from 9am – 4pm, Monday – Friday. Virtual and in-person appointments will be available, and appointments are strongly encouraged. Scheduling an appointment will help ensure the person you want to meet with is available. We look forward to being back on campus!

Preventing Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Training

An updated version of the Preventing Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence at UW-Madison training will roll out in the coming months. This will be required for employees who last took the training four years ago during the first rollout in 2017. More information about completing this training is coming soon.

Title IX Program is Renamed

Formerly known as the Title IX Program at UW-Madison, the newly named Sexual Misconduct Resource and Response Program highlights that the program does much more than investigations. In fact, most of the contacts result in connecting complainants and victims with support resources, accommodations, and protective measures.

University Housing will be hosting Well Wisconsin screenings and free flu shot clinics at varying locations on campus starting in mid-September. Sign up for your screening in advance, and make a plan to get your flu shot.
