Winter Break & End-of-Semester Plans

We just came back from fall break, but it's time to start thinking about your plans for winter break. Unless you are signed up for winter break housing, you should vacate your room within 24 hours of your last exam or by 12pm on Friday, December 22, whichever comes first. All University Residence Halls will close at this time for residents not signed up for winter break housing and will re-open for the spring semester on January 20, 2024.

Help Campus Create Spaces of Belonging

UW–Madison Student Affairs is reimagining how campus spaces are structured to support student belonging and success. As one important part of this effort, you are invited to share your experiences and ideas for student programming and space. An external consulting organization will be holding listening sessions with students on campus from Nov. 27–29. The goal of the sessions is to gather information about UW’s approach to establishing and resourcing student cultural centers and to gather input on programming related to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Each student participant will receive $15 on their Wiscard.

We want to hear from you! Don't miss your chance! Take our survey by 11/22 and you could win a $100 deposit to your Wiscard

Tutoring to Help You Through

With the end of the fall semester quickly approaching, get by with a little help from a tutor! They are here to help you in math, chemistry, and writing so you can ace those projects, papers, and exams. With tutoring sessions in the residence halls, you don't even have to change out of your sweatpants—just drop by!

Final Weeks for Free Flu Shots

Still want to get a flu shot this season? There are a few clinics left to keep yourself and your residence hall community healthy! This week, you can schedule an appointment at Gordon. Next week, appointments are available at the Student Activity Center, located at 333 East Campus Mall.

The CCE: A Space for YOU

Have you been to the Center for Cultural Enrichment (CCE, for short) yet? It's a space where all students are welcome. CCE staff provide support and connections for international students, LGBTQ+ students, and students of color who may feel isolated because they are numerically small populations on campus. Stop by to study, relax, cook, hang out, or attend one of their events. This week, slay your study game with caffeine, cocoa, and cookies during Unwind & Excel.

Share Your Experiences Around Alcohol Culture

The Color of Drinking Survey is open for participation. Alcohol culture has both direct and indirect impacts on undergraduate students, especially students of color and international students. Share your experiences in this confidential survey—check your email for more details about participating.
