Housing Contract & Information Due Thursday, May 1

Want to #LiveWithBucky in the University Residence Halls this fall? The deadline for you to log in to My UW Housing and complete your Housing contract is Thursday, May 1, 2025 @ 11:55 p.m. CT. This includes submitting a contract, paying an advance payment, ranking preferred residence halls and learning/theme communities, listing any possible preferred roommate(s), and selecting a dining plan.

Note: late information is not accepted and we recommend not waiting until the last minute as traffic will be high in My UW Housing. You can change your hall/community preferences, dining plan, and roommate preferences in My UW Housing until May 1.

1. Complete Your Housing Contract
A separate application for housing is not needed,
but you must sign the contract by May 1, 2025 @ 11:55 p.m. CT to be guaranteed a space.

2. Submit Your Advance Payment
When the contract is signed, a $75 non-refundable contract fee and a $225 advance payment are required to secure your space. These payments represent a legally binding financial agreement.

3. Rank Preferred Residence Halls
See what spaces might fit you and enter your preferences to rank eight residence halls/room types. We do our best to match your preferences, but you could be placed in any hall or community on or off your preference list.

4. Rank Preferred Communities
Learning and theme communities are residential spaces within various residence halls that bring together students around a specific focus. Select 2 – 5 communities and indicate whether you'd like us to prioritize your community or residence hall preferences.

5. Set Your Roommate Options
Indicate if you want a random or preferred roommate and create or join a roommate group if you have preferred roommate(s). If you're in a roommate group of three or four, you'll get priority in your hall/community assignment!

6. Select Your Dining Plan
All students living in the residence halls are required to select a resident dining plan. There are three options to choose from depending on the number of meals per week that fit your habits.

Our dedicated staff is on-call 24/7. We offer resources, equipment checkouts, will fix things fast, and diligently clean all common spaces.
